Savage Rifle Scope Mounts...The Tactical Varmint Savage Scope BaseThe precision fit of a Picatinny Mil Spec scope base... The enhanced rigidity of a solid top, integral scope base receiver... And, the perfect alignment of a one-piece scope base... We've combined all of it into this new precision machined Savage Rifle Scope Mount!Picatinny Precision - Not just "Weaver Style" compatible, this Savage Scope Base is machined entirely from bar stock to fit Picatinny-Weaver style rings... and to fit them Snug and Square. We recom- mend low to medium height Warne Rings with this base. Enhanced Receiver Rigidity - A stiffer receiver will flex less when you shoot and that translates to greater accuracy potential. We made this base thicker and left the full thickness along the back side to transfer rigidity into the receiver. We also reduced the number of cross slots from the usual Picatinny slot pattern... Less slots is more rigid and gives more support to the rings (after all, you're mounting a riflescope... not a flashlight). Perfect One-Piece-Base Alignment - Means zero stress induced to the receiver and scope while keeping the scope in line with the barrel... Best for accuracy. Fitting Information - We made versions to fit both short and long action Savage Bolt Guns: Models 10- 16 and 110-116 excluding the WSM rifles. Look at your receiver tops. If front and back are the same (that is, round/round surfaced), this mount will fit your rifle. |
