- Based off the original Bullet Button magazine lock concept, this new Patriot Mag Release makes the operation more convenient. It's the Bullet Button RELOADED! This new kit is California 2020 compliant and works for AR-15 (.223/5.56) platforms only. California law says the magazine must not be detachable. It must require "tools" to remove the magazine. The first "Tool" to comply with this law was the Bullet Button (see elsewhere on this site). This new Patriot Mag Release kit is another tool that may suit your needs better. Watch the video below...
