A VERY unique riflestock designed by Maj. John Plaster (U.S. Army ret.), one of the worlds leading authorities & instructors in long range very accurate shooting. This stock fits the Savage actions with a center to center action screw spacing of 4.275" and blind stagger feed magazine... With and without accu-triggers.

The Choate Varmint stock has a full length aluminum bedding block with aluminum pillars for the action screws. Comes with adjustable spacer system to adjust the length of pull, rail on bottom of forend to attach a bipod and sling swivels on both sides of the stock.

Will not fit new Savage Rifles with bolt release in the trigger guard! Will not fit rifles with detachable mag.

There will be an 3/16 gap under the safety on all the Savage Varmint, Tactical and Sniper stocks. The action should only touch on the V of the bedding block and back of the recoil lug. The gap at the back is normal for Savage actions when installed in our stocks.
