TC Contender and G2 Headspace Shims

Headspace is the distance from head of a cartridge to the breech face. You can fine tune the headspace of your G1 or G2 Contender with these "shims". The SAAMI specified headspace allows up to .010" of variance in the headspace of most cartridges. Being an off-the-shelf change barrel firearm system, the TC Contender holds remarkably close tolerances and most frame/barrel combinations are headspaced within the SAAMI specs. BUT... Some are closer than others and some are looser than others. This is where the Bellm headspace shims can help.

These shims come in a set of 6 thicknesses which you can use individually or stack as needed. They install in the back of the Firing Pin Bushing of your Contender or G2 and simply tighten the headspace. You don't want to go too tight. But if you're frame/barrel combination is headspacing on the loose side, closing it up a little will definitely improve your accuracy, function, and brass life (if you're reloading).
