Description

The Remington ADL Tactical stock has a full length bedding block (see cutaway above), adjustable butt spacer system to adjust the length of pull, a rail and sliding swivel on bottom of forend to attach a bipod, and sling swivels on both sides. This stock comes in versions to fit Remington 700 ADL rifles in long action, short action, and even left or right hand models. This stock is meant to work with your factory screws. ADL is a blind magazine, there is no inletting for a detachable magazine, nor a hinged floorplate.
Fits-All Barrel Channels - Since "free floating" of the barrel is preferred on all bolt actions, Choate has set this stock up to fit any barrel including the widest diameter bull barrels. Skinny barrels will have a wide gap between the barrel and the forend but they will shoot accurately from this stock.

    Choate 700 Rem ADL Stock

Posted by Don on May 8th 2023

This stock worked out perfect for me. I tried other brands, KRG and MDT, both chassis stocks. Both of those brands were uncomfortable and impossible to get a cheek weld while wearing ear muff style hearing protection. The Choate stock was an easy install and fits me perfectly. Depending on your rifle you may need a washer for the rear position stock bolt. I slipped a washer between the trigger guard and the stock because the bolt was a smidgen long. Myself and a hunting buddy were able to shoot sub-moa 5 shot groups as soon as the scope was re-zeroed with random reloads. All the powder/bullet combinations came in at and inch or less.

    260 Rem barrel

Posted by Richard Hocutt on Mar 4th 2023

Seems like a good barrel, have only put 20 rounds through it,, and have only shot one (3 shot) .5 moa group, but I'm still doing load development. I thought it would be slightly larger in diameter than it actually is, my stock makes this barrel seem kind of small, even though it is still substantial. Overall happy with my purchase.

    Great product

Posted by Mark Neal Moore on Jan 25th 2023

Shipping was fast. Less than 1 week from order to delivery. I installed the stock on my Remington 40x .22lr bench rifle. The aluminum spine and V block provide a solid bed for the action. The only modifications required was to saw about 1/8" off the forward OEM action screw. I took it to our informal club shoot today and won several targets at 50 yards in some NASTY gusting winds. I purchased a 3" aluminum track plate that mounts perfectly in the bi-pod channel and holds the gun square and level on the front rest. The only way I could be happier with the stock, for bench rest, is if it was a finely figured Turkish Walnut!!

Choate Rem. 700 ADL rifle stock

Posted by Jeff on Apr 13th 2021

I purchased the Choate tactical stock, initially, for my Rem. 700 ADL .223 rebuild. I replaced my original Rem. barrel with a EABCO Rem/age accuracy barrel in 1:7 twist. When I finished the install I decided I'd rather have this stock on my Rem. 700 in .308. Decided to buy a Oryx stock for my .223 so that I can have a detachable magazine along with a sleeker chassis stock. The Choate stock is a "beefy" strong stock that will serve my .308 well. My Rem. action / receiver slipped right into the stock with zero interference. One small aluminum burr at the trigger guard. I had to add / use two 1/4" dia. "internal star lock washers" on the front action screw to clear the action bolt. Didn't have to shorten the orig. bolt and I believe it has a stronger connection to the stock.

    Great tactical stock

Literally a drop in fit with the REM 700. Needed a little longer action screws compared to the original. This is a solid stock and the weight is awesome. Shot it today and my groups are half the size.

    Smokeless Perfection

Posted by Joe Teeter on Nov 24th 2019

During the last few years of my gunsmithing business I have built magnum velocity smokeless muzzleloaders, mainly on the Remington 700 action. The large diameter 45 caliber barrels will not fit the average stock. I usually have to spend several hours removing material from the forearm area to get the barrel into the stock. This stock works perfectly, without all of that extra work. It is a drop-in fit. It is also very stiff in the forearm area. I hope the company continues to make this stock in the future. This is the second of these stocks I purchased. I got the best price from Eabco.

    Fits great, happy customer

Posted by Keith on Jul 28th 2018

I like the wide barrel channel, my rifle has a full 1 bull barrel it is free floating with room to spare. The aluminum bedding block is solid and aligned well. The stock is comfortable with a nice full grip, the wide flat fore end fits good in the front rest, and the notch in the back nestles perfectly in the rear bag. This all makes for a stable shooting platform; my first trip to the range I was hitting 1 orange dots easily at 200 yards once the rifle was sighted in. Remington 700 single shot action, 28 Criterion barrel, 308 Winchester, 4-12 x 40 Vortex Diamondback Tactical scope. Entirely home assembled.

I'm very happy with this stock from Choate Machine, it's what I was waiting for when I placed the order. I just wish it was a little lighter in weight but overall love it!!!
