This means you can use 3, 5, and even 10 round magazines in your Ruger American rifle. It means you can get your choice of steel or plastic AICS magazines from several different manufacturers. And, you can use these same magazines on other AICS compatible rifles. 

No Special Inletting - This MDT CORE Bottom Metal is a drop-in fit with the MDT TIMBR CORE rifle stock. (Note: Ruger American Gen 1 actions may have bolt cycling issues.)
