Description

Original Bob Sled AI-308 Single Shot Loading Mag
- The AI-308 Bob Sled provides a single shot loading bed or follower to allow the easy loading and firing of single rounds during competition, benchrest , or varmint shooting. Made from durable, long lasting Delrin® to ensure a lifetime of use, the Bob Sled simply replaces your magazine to allow easy loading of single rounds. The AI-308 Bob Sled works with the Ruger Precision Rifle, Ruger Scout Rifle, Accuracy International, and rifles that use the Badger and CDI bottom metals that accept Accuracy Internation (AI) magazines.
- Some Fitting MAY Be Required - The AI-308 Bob Sled seems to fit everything without modification. But every once in awhile a customer will call and say it won't fit or latch in his AICS compatible mag well. I spoke to Bob Hanin about this and he said the little aluminum retainer catch was made a little long to be sure it could fit the wide variety of AICS compatible rifles. So, if your magazine is not latching, you can file just a little bit off the tip of the catch and that will solve the problem.

    Works Great

Posted by Daniel L on Aug 7th 2023

Thanks again. The Bob Sleds I received from you work great!  It's so relaxing single feeding my rifles. And when the Range Master says Cease fire, open your bolts, drop your mags... they're heavy enough to eject quickly. .

    Perfect

Fit my Savage 110 precision chambered in 6.5 creedmoor perfect, no fitting required! Had one in my match rifle for years, they are the best. The Bob Sled is a perfect fit for competition where only one round is allowed.

    Nice Product

Like others have said works perfectly, only had to take a few strokes on the silver mag catch with a small file, basically to round the edge slightly and it works like a charm.

    AI 308 Single Shot Sled

Posted by Stuart on Sep 13th 2021

This was a good addition to my kit. I use it for my 6.5 Creedmoor that are loaded too long for the AI mags. This performed very well, the bolt functions flawlessly and have had no issues feeding the rounds into the chamber.

    Quality item

This mag provides a smooth chambering of single rounds per F class rules. Much better than fussing with the standard magazine.

    Good Quality, But Disappointed

Posted by Rick on Mar 25th 2020

The Bob Sled is very solid and functions in the magazine-well perfectly with its fit.For my use in a Remington 700, customized for Benchrest shooting, it is not functional. My neck tension is generally .015-.020 and the Bob Sled just doesn't have a good enough height and angle to chamber the round consistently without hangups. After numerous attempts to try and solve this, I went back to just placing the cartridge on top of the original magazine (which sits higher) and placing it as far forward as I can before closing the bolt. It takes a few seconds longer but I get no hangups and no unnecessary jamming on the round. If I were using a higher neck tension, or loading factory rounds, this product would work fine.
