Description

  Our M1 Carbine Sling with Oiler is completely faithful to the early horseshoe type 1st issue slings. These dot the eye fastener, khaki web slings are exactly as per the original WWII issue. The oiler has the shaped dipper and gasket. For those who are unfamiliar, the oiler fits in the slot in the M1 Carbine buttstock and the rear portion of the sling loops around the oiler from the other side. The front portion of the sling goes through the sling swivel on the forend and closes with the "dot the eye" fastener.

    I love the sling but the mount is hard to wedge into the stock I had to loosen the thread a bit to do it

    I put this sling on my m-1 carbine replica that Ruger did a few years ago. It fit perfectly and was a nice touch of added realism. Looks to be very well made and durable. Probably better than the ones the G.I.s had in WW2.

    Looks great and works great. If you use the sling to help steady the rifle when you are standing or kneeling it does improve accuracy.

    Great addition to the M-1 Carbine replica Ruger 10/22. I would suggest that you include instructions on how to install the sling. It is not as easy or straightforward as it looks. I had to study a picture and try to figure out the oiler and strap. I finally got it and love the look of the sling. 5 Stars!
