I purchased the Mueller Sport scope for my 10/22 Ruger in December. Delivery was prompt and safely packaged. Installation was made with ease and after laser bore sighting, final adjustments with live ammo were effortless. Very pleased with the construction, design and clearity of my scope. I am a licensed gunsmith/dealer and have been introducing illuminated Mueller optics to customers for several years. I've been impressed with the clarity, accurate tracking of the reticles and value.Three of four purchased have continued to run great. The fourth developed a problem when the rheostat knob became very difficult to rotate and the light would not come on. The knob finally moved, under finger pressure, stripping four tiny screws attaching the knob to the tube. The wiring apparently broke during the process and the inert gas inside the tube escaped.The scope was sent back to Mueller and within two weeks a new one arrived in the mail.The illuminated Mueller optics are, in my opinion, still a great value, but as such have a weak connection at the light switch rheostat.Mueller customer service is very responsive.I would rate the Illuminated Mueller optics as a three believing a more secure and stress free light activation knob design would bring it to a five.When this particular failure occurs in the field, although the fixed reticles and dot in the scope can still be used to finish a hunt, the inert gas escapes causing moisture and subsequent fogging.
