Shipping Processor - Part-Time/Seasonal

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Note: Shipping Processor’s primary responsibilities will involve reading a packing slip, pulling product from shelves, scanning and processing shipments with a computer. This includes creating shipping labels for all outgoing packages. They will also receive in deliveries, check-in and put away inventory. Cross-training on customer service and checking order status is also likely.
Position Hours: Part-Time 24-32 hours per week 8am-4pm

Summary:

- Fills customer orders by retrieving them from appropriate shelving.
- Checks condition of product to ensure quality.
- Packs items of customer order securely into the most cost effective box and bags, and prepares order to be shipped out to customers.
- Weigh packages and process shipping label through computer software.
- Responsible for ensuring that proper labeling and shipping instructions are attached to order.
- Assist in stocking inventory on shelves which has been received in.
- Backs up other areas in the fulfillment area

Requirements:

- High school education or equivalent.
- Attention to detail with the ability to read, write and use a keyboard
- Working knowledge of computers, e-mail and internet
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong team orientation
- Desire for continuous improvement, skilled at adapting to change and willing to have ongoing training
- Must be able to climb ladders and walk or stand up to eight hours a day.
- Must be able to frequently lift small packages up to 5 pounds, occasionally medium packages approximately 30 pounds.
- Interest/knowledge of hunting industry is a plus, but product knowledge is trainable.
- ATF requires clean criminal record for anyone handling firearms.
