Range Day: Putting Accuracy to the Test
At EABCO, accuracy isn't just something we sell - it's what we live for. That's why the team recently headed to the range for an afternoon of testing, competition, and good old-fashioned shooting fun.
With four rifles on the firing line and shooters of all experience levels behind the trigger, the results were a great reminder of what quality equipment and consistent accuracy can accomplish.

TC Encore ProHunter 20 Gauge
Our first rifle of the day was a TC Encore ProHunter 20 Gauge equipped with a T/C Encore frame, EABCO 20 Gauge Encore Accuracy Barrel, Revolution walnut stock set, and an EABCO scope. We call the 20 gauge a rifle because the bore is rifled and it shoots as accurately as a rifle. We were shooting Browning BXS 328-grain ammunition (be sure to check out our separate article on the impressive performance of this load).
After sighting in at 50 yards from shooting bags, the entire team was making consistent, shots into a full sized deer target that showed the size and position of heart and lungs. All of the shots went into a small cluster in the heart! For many shooters, a 20 Gauge slug gun can be intimidating, but this setup proved to be accurate, manageable, and confidence-inspiring.

Ruger 10/22 Accuracy Build
Next up was a Ruger 10/22 outfitted with an EABCO Accuracy Barrel, Luth-AR Modular 10/22 Chassis, TandemKross Game Changer Compensator, and EABCO Mag Dropper.
We spent time shooting 1/4" steel spinners at approx. 25 yards and paper targets at 50 yards. The rifle made accuracy look easy with 1/2" groups or less. Everyone enjoyed the adjustability of the Luth-AR stock and quickly discovered why EABCO Accuracy Barrels have become a favorite upgrade among 10/22 enthusiasts.

TC Encore ProHunter .270 Winchester
Our third rifle was a TC Encore ProHunter chambered in .270 Winchester featuring an EABCO Accuracy Barrel, Revolution Thumbhole Stock, and a JP Competition Muzzle Brake.
To demonstrate the effectiveness of the brake, shooters fired the rifle both with and without it installed. The difference in felt recoil was immediately noticeable. While we typically perform a more permanent custom installation for customers, this setup allowed everyone to experience the comparison firsthand.
The results? Less recoil, better shooter comfort, and faster follow-up shots. Be sure to watch the video—we think you'll be impressed.
Savage Axis 6 Creedmoor
The final rifle of the day was a Savage Axis equipped with an EABCO Savage Accuracy Barrel chambered in 6 Creedmoor, an MDT Oryx Chassis, bipod, and an Arken EPL-4 6-24x50mm scope.
This rifle was the definition of a tack driver.
Our experienced shooters were hitting under 1/4" groups at 50 yards. Even some of our less experienced shooters were producing groups at ½ inch. When we moved back to 100 yards on a windy afternoon, the rifle continued to deliver, producing groups of 1/2 to 1". The combination of the precision barrel, stable chassis, and high-magnification optic made shooting at distance both easy and enjoyable.

The Accuracy Challenge
To finish the day, we held the EABCO Accuracy Challenge using the Savage Axis.
The rules were simple: one shot per shooter at 100 yards.
The results were anything but ordinary.
All eight shooters hit the target within a dime's size group! That's eight different shooters, each taking a single shot at 100 yards, and every one of them delivered an impressive hit.
Congratulations, Sandy!
The top shot of the day belonged to Sandy from our Customer Service and Shipping Department. To make the win even more memorable, she had harvested her very first rabbit earlier that same morning.
If you call EABCO, be sure to congratulate her on a great day at the range!
Accuracy You Can Count On
