I have had good results with new barrels when I do the Kroil and Bore paste routine before I even put the first round through it. On this particular occasion, I've installed a 17 Fireball barrel and with the cost of ammo a consideration, I'll limit the "factory" break-in to a dozen or so rounds while zeroing the optics. I'll shoot 3 rounds for a group, adjust the scope and clean the barrel. After repeating it four or so times I've got my zero. I'm getting sub-MOA groups at a hundred yards. It will only get better as I use it, as in my past experiences.
Works great. Perfect for bore break in.
have not sighted in barrel yet but sure it will as good as the rest of what they sell
This borr cleaner works great.
This paste works great for barrel break in.
I had never used this product until it came with my new barrel. It seems to do a good job of cleaning. I used it for my barrel break in followed with Hoppes copper solvent. Between these products I can't really tell which does the better job. However my new barrel shoots great so far and will continue to clean with it.
great product for breaking in your barrel. great for cleaning out fouling.
I've been using J-B Bore Paste to break in my barrels for many years and I'm not sure if there is a better product on the market but this stuff works. I follow the break in directions and use this to clean between shots and it has proven to be very effective in getting the fouling out very quickly. The bore always looks bright and I don't ever see any crud in the barrel like I have with other products I've tried. JBs is always in my range bag.
I have used JB in the past and continue to use JB. It is a very good product! I am happy with my pruchase.
