- Accuracy requires a proper relationship between a barreled rifle action and its stock. Stock makers have been constantly improving this relationship for years. There was glass bedding. Then, pillar bedding. Then full metal bedding blocks within the stock. Now there are "Chassis Guns" where you mount your rifle in an all metal Chassis to achieve total straightness, total rigidity, no flexing, no warping, and no stress. The Chassis gun is so effective, it has captured the Precision Rifle Shooting (PRS) marketplace. Unfortunately Chassis are expensive!
- Finally Affordable. Designed by MDT, the Oryx Chassis Stock is no more expensive than a high quality conventional stock. As you know, MDT is world famous for Chassis designs and innovations that benefit PRS shooters. The ORYX Chassis was developed as an affordable PRS alternative to a conventional bolt-action rifle stock. Designed with both range performance and hunting portability in mind - the ORYX provides superior ergonomics through it's specialized design. The drop-in style chassis is easy to install onto your action and comes with everything you need* to get out and get shooting. The stock is manufactured out of aluminum, hard anodized to MIL Spec Type III, and has durable polymer side panels. *Order magazines separately.

    Comfortable

    Posted by K on Dec 30th 2022

The MDT ORYX is a very comfortable chassis. My Savage build sat perfectly and made good contact at the recoil lug. I used a varmint contour barrel and there is still plenty of clearance in the channel I’m shooting without a brake and the recoil seems to be dissipated rearward with no muzzle jump. I’m very pleased and would recommend this chassis. Keep in mind…it’s aluminum and it can be a bit cold in the weather

Godsend for Savage 110 Switchback in 6mm ARC

Posted by Larry Sneeden on Aug 23rd 2022

I recently purchased a Savage 110 Switchback in 6mm ARC from Sportsman's Warehouse and have experienced the well-documented and widespread issue with that model's magazine and cartridge feed system.. Not sure why I thought I would be immune but was sadly mistaken. After a lot of research, the only seemingly reliable fix was the Oryx stock and AICS magazines. Very pleased with the outcome. Went from failure to feed at least once per 3-round Savage mag to zero issues with Oryx stock and AICS mags. Easy to install and works, feels, and shoots like a dream. Oryx is only stock I found that would accommodate the bottom bolt release on that Savage. Order was shipped within a couple of days and received within a week of purchase. Since purchased a Savage B22 that came with an Oryx stock and it shoots lights out. Couldn't be more satisfied with purchase.

    Excellent chassis and great company

Posted by James C. on Jun 30th 2022

Had been looking for a while for a reasonably priced chassis for my savage .308. Was focused on another manufacturer's rollout which appeared to never happen. Stumbled upon the Oryx through EABCO and at $400 figured was worth a shot. I am so glad I did. This system is unbelievably smart and you can literally have nearly zero mechanical inclination and the thing is a breeze to drop your action into. It 's only a question of whether you possess an allen wrench, and if you do, you're good. I almost had to double check myself, "is that it?" It is truly that simple and totally transforms a mediocre build firearm into something you can be proud of. Getting rid of the Savage magazine system on the 110 tactical models is in itself worth the $400, and now you're ready to rock as many ten-rounders that will actually come out easily and feed smoothly. Not only that, the support at EABCO was excellent. We got a bit twisted on the numbers only because I had ordered metal mags that had to be subbed for plastic for now, but the support team was extremely helpful and got everything situated with very little issue. Love the product and glad it brought me to EABCO where I will happily do future business.

    Oryx chassis stock

Posted by Jim Aytes on Jun 22nd 2022

I got my oryx chassis stock about a month ago for my Savage model 10 short action 243. This is the best stock I've ever had on a rifle. It's a little heavy but the recoil when firing is very light. It improved the shot grops from 2in to 1in groups at 200 hundred yards. I could go on all day about this stock . This is best out of the box to rifle precision stock I've ever had. I love it.

    Great Chassis

Posted by Jim Turner on Apr 5th 2020

I have to Savage rifles that I long range shoot with. I have a 110 in 6.5 creedmoor and a 10T in 308. The stock on the 308 is not rigid or heavy enough for what I want to do. These rifles are tac drivers and I am able to hit targets out to 1200 yards at a fuzz over moa. The added weight and rigidity of this awesome chassis should allow me to be sub moa out to 1000 yards with my 308. If I'm able to achieve this which I think wont be a problem. I will place another order for the same chassis for my creedmoor. I plan on hitting a mile with that set up. The only thing that is cumbersome is the bolt release. However for the money you cannot go wrong with this chassis.
