Savage Barrel Lock Nut- Factory Blue (not Matte)

I have rebarreled 4 savage 110 cl , I use the recoil lugs and barrel nuts from EABCO because of the high quality standards they adhere to. The fit is far superior to factory and the lugs are perfectly straight and true. The barrel nuts fit perfectly square to the lug.

The fit/finish/machining were second to none. Definite upgrade from OEM. Color was as close to matching with receiver as you could expect from parts 20 years apart from differing manufacturers. I will return for future builds.

All I did was run the flat surface on a sharpening stone to clean it up. Worked great. New barrel is insane accurate and I have already bagged a trophy black coyote with it.

What a difference these precision ground parts have made in my custom Savage build! I already had an EABCO Accuracy barrel on the rifle. (I wanted a recoil lug and barrel nut in the black to match the barrel and I discovered that EABCO is one of the few vendors that offer these parts in the black.) I installed one of these EABCO barrel nuts along with an EABCO recoil lug on my Savage custom rifle. After replacing the factory parts from Savage, my action is much more closely aligned with the axis of the bore. I can tell this because my scope zero adjustment is much nearer to the mechanical zero than it was with the stamped parts from Savage. I am looking forward to improved performance on the range! Because EABCO is very competitive on pricing, I would highly recommend replacing both of these parts at the same time.

I swapped barrel on a savage model 10 and it had a smooth barrel nut. It was a pain to get off, so I got out the pipe wrench. Worked great. Buying a new barrel nut was the way to go. Threaded perfectly and looks great.
