Description

The WGRS is an Aperture Sight that fits Thompson Center Arms Encore, Pro Hunter, Omega, and Impact. An aperture sight (aka peep sight), mounted as close to your eye as possible, removes a huge amount of aiming error by simply increasing the sight radius (the distance between front and rear sights). Also, aiming error from rear sight light reflection is virtually eliminated with an aperture sight... so that the angle of the sun will not change your point of impact. Finally, the aperture itself improves the focus of your sight picture by funneling the light through a hole. (A camera will do much the same thing when you reduce the size of its aperture... the depth of field improves). This sight mounts in the scope mounting holes at the REAR of your barrel and uses the factory front sight.

(Note: Threads on the aperture are standard 7/32 x 40)

    Perfect Peep

Posted by Justin on Dec 28th 2020

This peep sight is the perfect addition to my Thompson Center impact. It works great with the stock front sight, and adds accuracy, in my opinion, over the fiber optic rear sight that comes with the gun! Would definitely recommend.

    Peep sight

Posted by Rich Kestner on Dec 9th 2020

I got this sight because my TC barrel is defective and the factory sights did not have enough adjustment. The Williams sight has a ton of adjustment and is very easy to install. Definitely recommend this sight.

    Nice sight

Posted by DAVID on Dec 2nd 2020

Very well built sight. I am more accurate with this peep than I am with my 1x scope(all that douth dakota allows). Only issue is it needs to be taller. I am at the top of the travel to be on at 100 yards. This is on a t/c impact.

Works on my Encore ProHunter FX

Posted by Dan on Jul 7th 2020

This makes for a much more open field of view compared to the factory sights. Easy to keep everything in a 6 inch circle at 100 yards from field positions. Quick when shooting off-hand.

High Quality Sight at a Great Price

Posted by Ross B. on Feb 2nd 2020

This high-squality steel sight is like most Williams products: well-built and a great value! The low price belies the clever engineering and simplicity of two-screw adjustment! I recommend a little Loc-Tite in the base screws. It fit perfectly in the back two holes of my T/C Impact (old style) receiver, giving it a much longer sight radius than the old sight. You do need to remove the existing rear sight so you have a clear sight picture of the front sight. I called and asked the T/C service center about the existing sight and they confirmed to remove it. I'm looking forward to using this sight during this year's Wisconsin muzzleloader season.Shipping was fast!

    Objective achieved

Posted by GARY on Dec 16th 2019

Bought to enhance sight picture for aging eyes, but mounting in the rear scope mount holes, doubled the sight radius from original rear sight. Open peep aids in obtaining the sight picture quickly, and the eye instinctively centers the front post. Highly recommended.

    Very Good

Posted by Stephen Fraser on Aug 14th 2018

Awesome beyond belief. Installs on the rear scope mount, no problem, except it would be best to have high quality mini and gunsmithing screwdrivers (which I do have). Aperture sights don't need rear sight alignment, so if you have a good sight picture of the front post, you are dead on. Very fast target acquisition. Figured out the geometry. It is about 7 mils per MOA. Windage you should use a dial caliper on the left side to get it correct as you make adjustments. Vertical is about 0.8 MOA on the elevation ramp markings with my gun.
