Bench Rest Competition Barrel - 1:12 Twist for 155 gr Match Bullets

  • Fits Savage 10/110 Series Rifles

Threaded to fit the Savage Short Action 10, 11, 12, 14, 16 and Long Action 110, 111, 112, 114, 116 series bolt action center fire rifles including the Stevens 200 of identical pattern and Savage Axis Edge. Our barrels do NOT fit rifles with barrels stamped, "110L" nor WSM and Target actions.

One-at-a-Time Barrel Making- True, center-to-center barrel turning at a rate that minimizes stress while keeping the bore in the middle. True, center-to-center chamber reaming insures centering and linear alignment of the chamber with the bore. True, center-to-center 11° target crown, applied after finishing, insures that bullets exit the barrel with perfectly even gas pressure. (The bright metal crown is a Trademark of E.     308 1 in 12 twist blued 26 inch is a superb barrel that can consistently print 1 ragged hole groups with several different well known hunting projectiles. Holds its own in compare to other more expensive barrel swaps. This barrel on my model 10 FCP-HS was such an eye opener. Took this barrel to the machine shop I work at and cut the 26 inch barrel to a threaded 20 inch. Glad I did! No accuracy lose! A short heavy barrel deer hammer banging steel at 836 with Berger 168 classic hunters. EABCO has them too! Now I’d like to see a Ruger precision barrel become available on the shelf and see how it compares to the expensive named barrels.

    I purchased this .308 match barrel to replace the pencil barrel on a savage model 10. I built this rifle specifically for long range precision shooting and hunting. Shipping was fast and installation easy. After break- in I can shoot 1 hole 5 shot groups at 100 yards, I haven’t taken it beyond 100 yards yet but that’s coming soon. I will be purchasing more barrels in near future.

    I bought a barrel vise along with a nut wrench and action wrench and go no go gauges as well as a torque wrench. I used release on the threads of my old Savage Trophy Hunter XP receiver and all went pretty smoothly. I had a couple friends help as switching out the barrel was awkward for one person. In breaking in the barrel per the instructions on this site, I found the group's had shrunk more than half from the old pencil hunting barrel. It looks like, even with my old eyes, I should noe be sub MOA with this match barrel. I will probably do a 243 or 22-250 with another Savage 110 this time.

    Bought this barrel to replace a worn out barrel on a Savage 110, tactical. Barrel was easy to change out, the provided tools are made well. This barrel is a sub MOA barrel but is limited to shooting competition style bullets only, prefers G7 style bullets. Would recommend this to anyone looking to improve accuracy and would like to do barrel change themselves.

    .308 barrel that's shoots 1/4 groups with my own hand loads...couldn't be happier. Stabilizes to about 175 grain bullets. 150 grain seems to be the money spot. Highly recommend.

    I received the barrel and it installed with ease. Followed break in in procedure and it has one of the tightest groups that I've used in the past. Good product.
