Savage Accuracy Barrel® 6.5-284 Norma 1:8

  • Fits Savage 10/110 Series Rifles
  • Fits Savage Axis Short and Long Action Rifles
  • 6.5-284 Norma uses a 308 Win Bolt Face
  • 26" length, weight approx 3lbs
  • Varmint weight tapered to just under .800" diameter at muzzle
  • Bore dimensions reamed consistent to airgauge within .0002 (2/10,000ths) of proper bore dimension.
  • We use the best Chromoly steel alloys.
  • Two-Pass button rifled
  • One-at-a-time barrel making process for superb accuracy
Threaded to fit the Savage Short Action 10, 11, 12, 14, 16 and Long Action 110, 111, 112, 114, 116 series bolt action center fire rifles including the Stevens 200 of identical pattern and Savage Axis Edge. Our barrels do NOT fit rifles with barrels stamped, "110L" nor WSM and Target actions.

Chromoly steel, blue finish. Be sure to order a chamber that matches your existing bolt face. Or, order our Bolt Face Conversion Service and you'll be able to convert to ANY of our chambers. There are Two Ways to Order Barrels:

One-at-a-Time Barrel Making- True, center-to-center barrel turning at a rate that minimizes stress while keeping the bore in the middle. True, center-to-center chamber reaming insures centering and linear alignment of the chamber with the bore. True, center-to-center 11° target crown, applied after finishing, insures that bullets exit the barrel with perfectly even gas pressure. (The bright metal crown is a Trademark of E.     I received the barrel and it installed with ease. Followed break in in procedure and it has one of the tightest groups that I've used in the past. Good product.

    I will be installing this barrel and doing some shooting next week. If it shoots half as good as it looks I'll be very happy. I've had no trouble with accuracy in a Savage Rifle. This barrel was bought for a caliber change. I removed a short and thin 30-06 barrel to try out the 6.5-284 norma. EABCO had some sale priced ammo available at the time that I also took full advantage of. Thanks again EABCO for making this Hobbie affordable.

    Shot first few rounds of my new 6.5x284 today and I'm very pleased. Install was great with the barrel wrench and head space gauges. Finish on the barrel is excellent and groups with nosler factory ammo were promising, looking forward to working up a handload to see how tight the groups will go!!!

    I just finished the last two NRA mid range shoots of the season using your 6.5x284 EABCO accuracy barrel and wow I'm impressed. This barrel gave me some of the best scores I've shot to date and is heads above some more expensive barrels I have. Whatever you folks are doing keep it up because for the money you just can't beat these barrels. Fit and finish were excellent, and the chamber is tight making for some exceptional performance at extreme ranges. Will be buying a 6mm BR for mid range soon to complement my 6.5x284 1000 yard rifle. A+++ all the way! Thanks EABCO.

    Very good product, the kit is a great idea. I would like to suggest that EABCO add a new barrel nut to every kit they only cost about $10.00 and I would gladly pay the extra for the convenience. In my opinion the nut should be replaced with every new barrel. The barrel I bought 6.5X284Norma shoots extremely well getting 5 shot groups at 100 yards with all 5 holes touching when shooting my reloads. At 300 yards I am getting 2 inch groups. Thanks EABCO for a great product.

    This is my second barrel from you all and just like the first this is a great shooter. I did the break-in as you suggested and this barrel is shooting .30 in groups with first my first reloads. Keep up the good work and great prices.
