Savage Accuracy Barrel® 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser 1:8

  • Fits Savage 10/110 Series Rifles
  • Fits Savage Axis Short and Long Action Rifles
  • Standard Small Shank

  • Varmint weight tapered to just under .800" diameter at muzzle
  • Bore dimensions reamed consistent to airgauge within .0002 (2/10,000ths) of proper bore dimension.
  • We use the best Chromoly steel alloys.
  • Two-Pass button rifled
  • One-at-a-time barrel making process for superb accuracy
Threaded to fit the Savage Short Action 10, 11, 12, 14, 16 and Long Action 110, 111, 112, 114, 116 series bolt action center fire rifles including the Stevens 200 of identical pattern and Savage Axis Edge. Our barrels do NOT fit rifles with barrels stamped, "110L" nor WSM and Target actions.

One-at-a-Time Barrel Making- True, center-to-center barrel turning at a rate that minimizes stress while keeping the bore in the middle. True, center-to-center chamber reaming insures centering and linear alignment of the chamber with the bore. True, center-to-center 11° target crown, applied after finishing, insures that bullets exit the barrel with perfectly even gas pressure. (The bright metal crown is a Trademark of E.     I am making my review into two installments. This is the first instalment. EABrown as a company and customer service is a class A, this is my second barrel from them, on both occasion they were fast kept me informed on the progress of installing or fitting the barrel to the action. Excellent workmanship, and super nice barrel. Shipping and packaging was excellent. I just completed installing the action into the MDT chassis plus the scope bases and other few items. I am very happy with the setup. Next taking the rig to the range to shoot and that will be the next installment.

    The 6.5 Swede Accuracy barrel kit easily fit my Savage Axis. I did have to open the barrel channel due to the larger diameter of the barrel. After 17 rounds of my break-in, the rifle settled and the barrel shot sub-moa with 140 grain Bergers, H-4350, and Federal primers. I strongly suggest an additional barrel nut as I ruined mine when taking off the old barrel. The weight and balance of the heavy barrel makes it a great still hunting rifle. Stalking would be tough unless you have shooting sticks or a good pack to throw the rifle onto. I will be buying another.

    Mounted the 6.5 X 55 EABCO Accuracy Barrel on my Savage Axis last year. It has proven to be the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. One hole groups at 100 yards and 1.25 groups at 300 yards are not uncommon. My record lows are .027 @100 and .550 @300 using tuned hand loads.

    I received the barrel and it installed with ease. Followed break in in procedure and it has one of the tightest groups that I've used in the past. Good product.

    Totally impressed! This barrel doesn't disappoint!!! Got easily 1/4 groups if I did my part!

    Very good product, the kit is a great idea. I would like to suggest that EABCO add a new barrel nut to every kit they only cost about $10.00 and I would gladly pay the extra for the convenience. In my opinion the nut should be replaced with every new barrel. The barrel I bought 6.5X284Norma shoots extremely well getting 5 shot groups at 100 yards with all 5 holes touching when shooting my reloads. At 300 yards I am getting 2 inch groups. Thanks EABCO for a great product.

    This is my second barrel from you all and just like the first this is a great shooter. I did the break-in as you suggested and this barrel is shooting .30 in groups with first my first reloads. Keep up the good work and great prices.
