    Excellent

I was initially skeptical of the quality of these FF HGs because of the price but I studied the pictures and instructions and was pretty impressed with the construction and materials. I bought 2 and assembled them with Faxon pencil barrels and with a standard M4-ish lower (with a Rogers Superstock) the rifles are 5-1/4 pounds before ammo or optics and they shoot very well. Now one of them is my go-to (my buddy talked me into selling him the other upper). I'm very happy with the product, especially with the very reasonable price.

    Good Handguard

Makes for a light upper. Have had it for a year and it seems durable. Has a solid mount on the regular barrel nut - I was a bit dubious about that at first, but it's solid as can be.

    Good Product

Easy to install. Great addition to my carbine. My only complaint is that the end of handguard is cut on an angle and that makes it a little difficult to attach/detach supressor.

quality construction fro a reasonable price

Posted by Joe on Apr 16th 2019

I wanted to build a lightweight upper and so researched and priced CF free float handguards. All but one (other than eBay junk) were close to or more than $300, which I was unwilling to spend without the ability to closely inspect the products. I found this CF FF HG for less than half the price of the others I looked at and the detail visible in the pictures as well as the install directions suggested a well designed attractive product. Coming from decades of manufacturing experience, I was very happy with the product when it arrived and even more so after installation. The materials, design, machining, and finish are all top notch and the entire HG weighs less than 8 ounces on my scale. My completed AR without optics or ammo weighs in at 5.5 pounds. Fantastic.
