Description
ChamberMade Repairs .22LR Dry Fire Damage, Solves Feeding and Extraction Problems
- When you "dry fire" a .22 rimfire pistol or rifle, the firing pin hits the edge of the chamber¹. This can actually cause a dent or "peen" in the edge of the chamber... deforming the edge into the chamber, causing a tight spot and ammo doesn't fit properly. Chambering and extraction problems ensue. The Tandemkross ChamberMade swages this peen out of the chamber.
- Here's how it works: The ChamberMade is a tapered mandrel that fits into your rimfire chamber. You operate it attached to a screw driver or cleaning rod. There's a little flat portion of the mandrel that starts out over the peened edged of the chamber. While applying pressure, you twist the mandrel and the taper swages the peen out of the chamber. Detailed instructions are included. Repeat as necessary.
(1 - Many .22 LR firearms have a limiter on the firing pin that's supposed to keep the firing pin from hitting the edge of the chamber when dry firing. Our advice is not to count on this. Use snap caps or once fired brass when dry firing a rimfire gun. AND, keep this ChamberMade tool handy in case you slip up and dry fire your rimfire chamber!)
